Tonight I led the training since very few people were there. We had very little time so we did only kihon, and at the end 10 mins of jigeiko.
I should remember to push my hip forwards when striking.
Another thing is, when doing jigeiko with someone who is obviously more of a beginner than I am who couldn't do much against me, I should let the targets open after he/she shows enough seme. Otherwise, it's pretty pointless to them..
About this blog..
This is a blog that I started in April 2006, just after I first put on my bogu (kendo armour). It collects the advices given by more experienced kendo practitioners as well as those from my own experiences. Both technical and the mental aspects of kendo are written in the blog. I hope someone will find them useful or interesting at least!

Nice to read about your reflection on your kendo teaching. The way you use reinforcement will no doubt develop the beginners sense of seme, plus giving them a bit of challenge and excitement.
